The Sidhe are mysterious and somewhat unfathomable to
many. Their knowledge comes partly from an insatiable curiosity and partly from
their natural gift of Memory. All Sidhe are by birthright a part of the Cuimhne
Daoine (the Memory People whose role is to collect and protect the knowledge
and wisdom of the world and Keep it for the Future). They are Sent to do so –
and so they do.
Their name means Peace, and that is what they seek and build
toward – they will not initiate conflict. However, their powers are fearsome
when it comes to Defense, and they will go to battle to protect and defend
their own.
The Sidhe of the Ages are the eternal spirits of the
Sidhe who have gone before and those who are yet to come (some say they are one
set who come and go, but only God knows for sure). It is said that you know
they’re about by the whirlwinds they generate and by the sound of their Singing
which sounds like a melody played by thousands of humming bees. Some also say
they show themselves at times in the gathering of the clouds of the skies,
especially at sunrise and sunset, but really at any time of the day or night.
The Holy Spirit (Mother) of the Trinity is the only Power
that can unleash them; all Sidhe are in Her Keeping.
