A FAMILY OF WARRIORS IS BORN ...
DANANN AND MAMM OF PERTH
These two meet, marry, and have several younglings by the
time our Story begins.
They are the Patriarch and Matriarch of the Family whose
generations comprise the Mamm Books.
Danann’s family, lost to raiders on the shores of Albann,
is replaced in his devotion by the Fienne, and then by his own family.
This fire-headed mountain of a man with grass-green eyes
lives, laughs, loves – and fights – with enthusiasm, to put it mildly. When
Danann laughs, none can resist joining in; when he fights, none can stand
against him.
The sun-golden blonde, tall and beautiful Mamm of Perth
matches her husband in every way, except that she has a cooler head and doesn’t
go berserk in battle. Her sky blue eyes see the world perhaps a bit more clearly.
In their youth the pair of them train as Warrior Druids
and together ride with the Fienne of Albann. Where they are needed, there they
are – and their word, once given, is irrevocable.
When we meet them they have settled on the family
holdings of Mamm of Perth and their family is well-begun and soon to be
expanded.
They raise warriors as warriors are needed in that time
at that place. Their younglings are Alianora, MammTwo, Corrbed, and twins Sass
and Saille.
These two, and so their offspring, are Sidhe, born and
bred of a race already ancient – although still a part of the larger Celt and
Perchtanne population of Albann.
